JOB SUMMARY
Execute assigned data processing, verification and research-support tasks for the quant unit so investment analytics, model operations and trade workflows have accurate and complete inputs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure availability of databases by extracting, processing, and cleaning data to produce reliable datasets for models, reports, and research.
- Maintain data completeness by performing checks and basic reconciliations to ensure quality-assured submissions and reports.
- Maintain data integrity and availability to minimise decision errors.
- Maintain analytics availability by executing standard model runs and data updates to ensure consistent signal and analytics delivery.
- Support quantitative research on factor investing by applying appropriate techniques to produce research outputs for senior review.
- Liaise closely with brokers to support research requirements while maintaining strong working relationships, and manage engagements with system vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
- Collaborate actively with internal stakeholders and other investment departments to ensure data accuracy and process integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pass in Bahasa Melayu, including the oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institution
- Fresh graduates with relevant academic background, internship exposure or project experience in quantitative analysis, data analytics, financial modelling or investment research are encouraged to apply
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and machine learning, with familiarity in data analysis tools is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Skilled in writing and presentations
