We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Healthcare Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering and updating medical data, patient information, and insurance records in a timely and confidential manner.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately input patient demographics, medical billing codes, and insurance data into our system
Review documents for completeness and correct any discrepancies
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Work closely with billing and coding teams to resolve data-related issues
Scan, file, and organize records both physically and digitally
Assist with generating basic reports as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
1+ year of experience in data entry, preferably in a medical or healthcare environment
Fast and accurate typing skills (40+ WPM preferred)
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and office software
Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using electronic health records (EHR) or billing software
Prior work in a medical billing or coding department
