Job Description

Team Leadership

– Mange a team of legal assistants providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster theirprofessional growth.

– Delegate tasks

– Set performance goals, oversee billing goals of legal assistant team.

– Conduct performance evaluations

– Implement training programs as needed.

– Prioritize and distribute work assignments among the legal assistants to ensure timely completion of tasks.

– Monitor deadlines, track progress and make necessary adjustments to optimize workflow.

– Oversee timely completion of steps in client sites.

Workflow Coordination

– Prioritize and distribute work assignments among legal assistants to ensure timely completion of tasks.

– Monitor deadlines, track progress and make necessary adjustments to optimize workflow efficiency.

– Coordinate with data operations and case system management team to optimize templates and workflow within Case Aware.

Process Improvement

– Identify areas for process enhancement within the legal assistant team.

– Implement best practices, standardize procedures, and explore opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and productivity.

Quality Assurance

– Maintain a high standard of work quality by reviewing and proofreading legal documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines, local rules and legal requirements.

Communication and Collaboration

– Foster openscommunicationchannels with internal stakeholders, including attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff.

– Facilitatecollaboration, resolve issues, and promote a positivework environment.

Legal Support

– Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support on BK Litigation Files

– Prepare, draft and filing Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Notices and Declarations of Default across multiple states, understanding all aspects of the department motions and objection process including nuances of Chapter 7,11, and 13 bankruptcies.

– Responsible for directcommunicationwith clients and attorneys via all applicable means

– Preparation of documents for attorney review including but not limited to complaints, motions, proposed orders, proofs of service, and other documents as assigned.

– Assist attorneys with all aspects of case file management, including research, document production, accuracy reviews, and cost tracking.

– Compile, prepare and summarize relevant information and materials to be used by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of complaints, motions, briefs, pretrial memorandums, and other legal documents.

– Monitor steps in Client system and maintain files within firm case management system.

– Research and retrieve relevant documents from various client databases.

– Prepare documents for attorney’s court appearances.

– Manage client requirements, documents and deadlines.

– Answer, screen, direct and/or ensure resolution of client and debtor calls and inquires.

– Set up court hearings and meeting.

– Prepare and file pleadings and responses relating to bankruptcy litigation.

– Calendar and monitor bankruptcy litigation deadlines and hearing dates.

– Prepare status updates for client reporting.

– Prepare budgets for bankruptcy litigation.
