Pointe Engineering is a specialist ground improvement contractor delivering drilling and grouting solutions for major infrastructure projects across Australia. We work on dams, tunnels, mines and other complex geotechnical projects, helping clients control water, stabilize ground and manage challenging site conditions.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to play a key role in supporting our operations, business development activities and office administration functions.
About the role
This is a varied and dynamic role that offers exposure across multiple areas of the business. Working closely with our leadership, business development, HR and operational teams, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day business activities, improving processes and contributing to the continued growth of Pointe Engineering.
- Create and maintain an up-to-date library of tender and pre-qualification documentation.
- Submit tender panel applications and expressions of interest to identified lead-generating organisations.
- Create, maintain and track leads within Pointe's CRM platform, ensuring information is accurate and current.
- Support business development activities and coordinate a consistent social media presence.
- Manage the [email protected] mailbox and action enquiries accordingly.
- Organise and maintain company records, files and documentation.
- Perform general administrative and ad hoc business support tasks.
- Obtain, collate and distribute information to the wider team as required.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Advisor when required.
- Coordinate end-to-end travel arrangements for employees, including flights, accommodation, transport and itineraries.
- Ensure all travel plans are organised efficiently and communicated effectively.
- Maintain records of company assets, including allocation, condition tracking and procurement requirements.
- Manage fuel card allocation and monitor expenditure.
- Conduct stocktakes and coordinate uniform orders.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers including plant hire companies, specialist material suppliers, couriers, stationery providers and other vendors.
- Coordinate company social events, end-of-year functions and team activities.
- Support initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Assist team members with basic IT-related issues and coordinate support where required.
About You
- Previous experience in an administration, office management or business support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong document management capabilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- The ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and clients.
- Experience supporting tenders, bids or business development activities will be highly regarded.
