About the Role
You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
Responsibilities:
Purchase Planning
- Finalize the purchase range based on the Senior Buyer’s buying strategy.
- Prepare buy sheets and purchase orders (POs).
- Monitor SKU-level performance and propose re-orders for Core and Open-to-Buy (OTB) products.
Stock Management
- Track in-season sales performance and stock cover.
- Recommend re-orders, order reductions, or order cancellations based on sales and inventory analysis.
- Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely arrivals.
Data Management
- Maintain item master data through product code creation and updates.
- Review and adjust product end-of-season timelines in the system.
Execution Management
- Coordinate with Merchandising and Pricing teams to ensure optimal stock performance and product availability.
- Support the execution of buying and stock strategies aligned with business targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience in purchasing, merchandising, or retail buying.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
