Statement of Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Call Center Registration Supervisor, the registrar identifies the department and their first name while answering pre-registration telephone calls in a professional manner for outpatient and surgical day scheduled appointments, ENDO and Rehab pre-registrations, as well as walk-in LAB and X-Ray pre-registrations. The registrar is responsible for identifying the correct patient, verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and physician information to ensure accuracy each and every time.
The registrar works closely with many ancillary department secretaries and physician offices to check on appointments/visits for the patient and/or to resolve account issues prior to pre-registering the account or shortly thereafter. This reflects the overall summary of the job description. The registrar performs other duties as the need arises or as policies change. More specific duties are listed in this document and in the attached addendum.

Education:
High School Graduate
Certification / License:
None needed
Experience:
Hospital/Physician Office Registration work helpful;
Call Center experience helpful;
Secretarial or Clerical Experience helpful;
Data entry experience helpful.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based on hospital policy.
