Full Job Description
This position involves working closely with the public and is responsible for performing routine cashier type work involving the preparation and maintenance of records, precisely following company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following and other duties as assigned:
Work is performed in the lobby, drive-thru, and the reception area, as needed.
Receives cash, checks, debit/credit card transactions and posts them into the company’s chosen Customer Service Management system with 95% accuracy.
Balances cash drawer and checks daily; maintains a cash drawer balance of $450 (unless otherwise approved by the company’s CFO) with minimal inaccuracies.
Prepares the daily bank deposit.
Accurately balances and posts customer payments.
Processes night drop payments (under dual control) and the daily mail.
Verifies checks and then scans them into the company’s chosen automated deposit system.
Properly packages end of the month/year records with accurate labeling, and properly disposes of outdated checks, adhering to all public record retention laws.
Provides general customer service (answering phones, directing customers); contacts customers via phone or written form, as necessary.
Performs general clerical work, as required.

Possesses the ability to effectively exchange information with customers and team members; promptly responds to customer concerns via written, verbal, or electronic communication; produces accurate and error free communication; communicates policies to customers; uses discretion when communicating sensitive information; notifies supervisor/manager of appropriate issues or concerns.
