Description of Work

This O’Berry Center position provides the administrative and medical records support as assigned. While this is generally an assignment to one Cluster or Group Home, this position must adjust to sudden change in the work environment and may serve as a backup to any administrative need throughout the facility as assigned. This position maintains records for approximately 48 residents who reside in these Clusters. It is responsible for monitoring and reconciling a large program budget. The Unit Consultant directly supervises this position. The Home Life Specialist who supervises the operations of the homes and the needs of the residents works closely with this role. The Administrative Specialist I addresses daily work assignments with flexibility as a change in the priority of work tasks may occur at any time.
Normal work hours Mon-Fri 8:00am – 5:00pm

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Demonstrated ability to use a computer and work proficiently in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Access)
Demonstrated ability to record, compile, summarize and perform basic analysis of data
Ability to use correct grammar, and to review and process information to determine conclusions, actions or compliance with programs and services as well as applicable laws, rules or regulations
Ability to independently work with people with courtesy and tact in performing daily duties with other professional disciplines and in public contact duties.

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;
or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
