Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional mental health admin to join our team starting out as part-time during the Summer (June) at $20 an hour and leading to a full-time position starting in August with a pay increase depending upon how well the candidate does during their 90-day probationary period.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients rotating between both our Towson and Owings Mills office providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle constructive criticism and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. The Mental Health Admin will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our front office by assisting our externs, counselors and the CEO/Owner of Gifts, LLC.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome clients as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently while addressing any clients and parents’ inquiries or concerns.
Maintain an organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and readily available.
Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications promptly and professionally.
Assist with scheduling appointments in ICAnotes and managing calendars for staff as needed.
Provide information about services offered, including therapy, medication management and psychological testing.
Collaborate with therapists, nurse practitioners, insurance companies and schools to ensure seamless client experiences and address any issues that may arise.
Process payments (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) via square and Paypal

Experience

Previous experience in an outpatient mental health clinic is REQUIRED
Familiarity with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, customer service and basic office software is beneficial.
Knowledge AND experience in identifying types of insurance, insurance verification utilizing websites and calling insurance companies for eligibility, and posting payments to clients account is REQUIRED
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
Ability to work with a sensitive client environment while maintaining professionalism and tact
