Clinic Administrator – Community Nursing Team
Band 3 | 15 Hours per Week | Permanent
An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinic Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Farnborough Community Nursing Team.
This is a rewarding role at the heart of a busy community service, where you will play a key part in supporting both patients and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care. We are seeking an experienced administrator who is organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A positive, flexible approach and strong attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing service demands.

Main duties of the job
- To maximise the effectiveness of the service.
- Day-to-day administrative management and co-ordination of the service supporting the clinical team and being the first line of contact for patients, relatives, carers and other key stakeholders.
- To work across multiple Trust sites including but primarily based at Fleet Hospital.
- To cover seven day working 8am-8pm on a rota basis.
- To provide administrative support to the community services, ensuring that Trust standards are adhered to in relation to all documentation and data input concerning patients and treatment.
- To provide a comprehensive administrative service to the community nursing team with tasks such as:
- Scanning and uploading relevant patient medical documents into the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record system.
- Discharge patients from the caseload working in conjunction with the team and Team Leader.
- Order dressings supplies for the community nursing team
- Order supplies for the community nursing team using EPROC.
- Support new staff members to the team with their IT access and how to use trust systems.
- Maintain accurate records of training completed by the team for the PDN and wider senior management team.
- Provide cover for other staff within the team who are on leave or out of the office.
- To liaise with other hospitals, other personnel and patients proactively and at the request of Team Leaders.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (grade A-C)
- Computer literate: RSA level 2 or equivalent.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
- NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience working in complex situations.
- Admin experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience of using Trust systems, EPIC, Emis.
Desirable criteria
- Healthcare assistant / rehab support worker/ carer experience.
Skills
Essential criteria
- Leadership skills.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and through documentation
- Good IT skills.
