Full Job Description

Duties

You will provide administrative support services to Sailor or Marines undergoing processing through the Navy Disability System.

You will coordinate patient visits including involvement in travel arrangement, lodging and other patient problems.

You will request records and searches for misplaced records.

You will coordinate and/or make appointments (via computer input terminals), verify patient information, and assure forms needed to record treatment and information and preliminary work pertaining to visit is contained in patient records.

You will perform a variety of standard and non-standard clerical duties to coordinate travel arrangements, services, and medical appointment for patient and their Family members.

You will operate a personal computer to input, store, retrieve, and manipulate data.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Providing administrative support to internal and external customers.

Operating a personal computer, microcomputer or computer terminal, using various software programs, functions and procedures in order to create data files, input, store, retrieve and/or manipulate narrative and statistical data and prepare material.

Preparing documentation for medical or evaluation boards.

Developing and maintaining forms and reports in various programs.
