Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Grade 4N Hourly Wage Minimum $20.92/hr Midpoint $26.15/hr Maximum $31.38/hr
Position Description:
The Department Coordinator IV develops, implements, and manages campus and community engagement program activities for the A&S Office of the Dean, and A&S Office for International, Engagement, & Equity Programs (IEEP).
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design, direct, and coordinate campus and community engagement or outreach programming for the A&S Office of the Dean and Office for International, Engagement & Equity Programs, including collaboration with the Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research, as appropriate.
Design, direct, and coordinate new collaborations-while maintaining long-term UofL Signature Partnership Initiatives-in collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement and/or other campus and community partners, as deemed appropriate.
Manage and coordinate annual educational programming activities associated with the Civil Rights Markers Project, including but not limited to, the (bi-)annual the Jefferson County Public School professional development workshops.
Develop mechanisms to collect data for statistical reporting.
Develop, administer, and analyze assessment or evaluation questionnaires.
Compile statistics and prepare (annual) reports, as necessary.
Write grant program proposals (corporate and government) to support projects, as necessary.
Provide administrative support for grants received for projects, as necessary.
Promote division programs through distribution to developed or curated contact lists, media contacts or promotions in collaboration with the A&S Communications Office, as appropriate.
Manage, direct, and supervise outside vendors, volunteers, and staff at outreach programs.
Interact with university departments-faculty, staff, and students-and external agencies.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Preferred requirements:
Knowledge and experience working with diverse communities and organizations.
Knowledge of government structures, agencies, and policies.
Demonstrated skills with planning events and experience in identifying resources, including finances within and external to the university for events and programs.
Demonstrated technical skills with Office Microsoft 365 Suite, Adobe or Google platforms with some social media content development and production.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
