Role Description The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for SZABIST’s campus in Karāchi, ensuring alignment with the institute’s mission, academic standards, and long-term goals. This full-time, on-site role includes overseeing academic programs, faculty performance, and student services, while promoting a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement. The Director will manage budgets and resources, lead accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, government bodies, accreditation agencies, alumni, and other stakeholders to enhance the institute’s reputation and opportunities for students. The Director will also lead strategic planning, guide curriculum development, support research and innovation, and mentor senior staff to foster effective governance and a collaborative campus environment.
Qualifications
- Proven academic and administrative leadership experience in a university or higher education setting, preferably at Director, Dean, or equivalent senior level.
- Advanced degree (preferably PhD) in Business, Management, Education, or a relevant discipline; a strong academic and research record is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage complex projects, and lead institutional growth and change.
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the institute locally and internationally.
- Experience with accreditation processes, quality assurance frameworks, and regulatory compliance in higher education.
- Proven ability to build and lead diverse teams, mentor faculty and staff, and foster an inclusive and student-centered culture.
- Familiarity with South Asian higher education dynamics and the ability to build partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a commitment to academic integrity, research excellence, and continuous improvement.
