About Admin Assistant 1
As an Admin Assistant 1, you will work under direct supervision and perform a wide range of administrative duties for assigned functions or program areas.

Position Duties

In the Central Collection Section, an Admin Assistant 1 is responsible for performing a broad range of administrative duties that support the goals established by the Compliance Division and are expected to encourage team unity, communicate respectfully with peers/leadership, and effectively manage their assignments.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative Support/Contact with the General Public

Sort, organize, and forward mail to appropriate department and/or person
Post payments received to DOR’s Integrated Tax System
Complete small administrative projects
Contact the general public (taxpayers, county representatives, tax professionals, attorneys, etc.) regarding application statuses or basic tax lien matters

Bankruptcy Case Maintenance

Review bankruptcy mail and makes appropriate updates to basic case information

Review of Internal Applications

Process installment payment agreement applications for taxpayers requesting a monthly installment plan. This includes reviewing taxpayer accounts to verify they are in compliance prior to creating a payment plan.
Review and entry of Offer in Compromise cases
Reviews application details to verify completeness and request additional documentation or information when necessary.

Tax Lien Maintenance

Identify and locate correct taxpayer registration information to assist with the issuance of tax liens.

Entry Qualifications

High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience

This is a hybrid position. The Admin Assistant 1 position will operate out of the assigned office and have the ability to telework.
