THE DEPARTMENT

The Office of Sustainability & Environment (OSE) develops and implements citywide environmental policies and programs that propel our city toward a sustainable, equitable, and carbon neutral future. OSE is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. THE JOB

Our office is recruiting for a multi-talented Executive and Administrative Staff Lead to provide executive administrative support to the OSE Director drawing upon your ability to exercise discretion, apply organizational skills with great attention to detail, engage in superior follow through, and support calendaring/scheduling with a lens of prioritization attuned to the Director’s needs. We also need you to be the first point of contact representing both the Director and the office, so communication, customer service, and a solutions-oriented approach are needed. Your ability to welcome guests, new staff, and longer-term team members will set the tone for the office and help support an inclusive culture.

Your work will include:

Director Assistance- working with the Director to maximize her available time, productivity, and resources via supports such as calendaring and scheduling.

Office Administration– ensuring that OSE team members, City-wide colleagues, community members, and guests’ needs are being met in a respectful, culturally appropriate, and timely manner.

Human Resources Activities– supporting “new hire” onboarding, welcome and team integration, and exit processes for OSE team members.

Handled employee onboarding and offboarding with care and a lens of inclusion and accessibility.

Exercised a flexible mindset so that you pivoted between tasks and variable priorities responsive to shifting goals
