The Whittemore Company, a growing and vibrant sales agency in the industrial sector since 1918, is seeking a qualified full time Office Manager and Administrative Assistant. Duties will include general administrative, regular financial and data input, creative marketing projects & social media management, assisting the President with various tasks and projects (as required), creating monthly reporting & managing our industrial building tenant.
Requirements are as follows:
Proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office Suite
This job requires substantial proficiency in MS Excel and data management
Knowledge and familiarity with all office equipment and functions
Social network experience and proficiency
Self-motivation and strong work ethic
Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills – very important
Ability to manage projects independently and meet assigned deadlines
Customer service/telephone skills in working with vendors and customers
WordPress experience is a plus
Quick Books experience is very desirable
Flexible, outgoing, dependable and energetic
Typical in-office hours are 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Although the position will mostly be in-office, there is flexibility to work off-site as required. Annual wage is negotiable dependent upon experience, qualifications and desire/ability to learn all facets of our business.
The successful candidate will report to the President of the company and will be the sole/key person in our office.

Responsibilities
Manage daily office operations, including working closely with, and assisting, our outside staff, principals, and the company President.
Provide exceptional customer service via phone and in-person interactions.
Utilize Microsoft Office (and in particular, Excel) and QuickBooks for data analysis and presentations
Assist with social media management and basic website updates using WordPress.
Organize and maintain office files (whether paper or electronic), ensuring efficient retrieval of information when required.
Organize and attend trade shows when required.
Support team members with clerical tasks and administrative duties as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
