Location: Baghdad- Al Mansour

Working Hours: 9 hours per Day / 5 Days per week

Job Type: Full Time/ On Site

Department: Operations Department

Reporting To: Project Manager

Range Salary: Based On Salary Scale

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in business English.

Job Summary

The Finance Coordinator supports the finance department by assisting in daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, tracking budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The role ensures accurate financial data, timely reporting, and smooth financial operations to support management decision-making

Duties & responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and reimbursements accurately and on time.
  • Support payroll preparation, petty cash management, and expense reimbursements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and financial records under supervision.
  • Monitor day-to-day financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and policy adherence.
  • Track departmental, project, and operational budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Prepare budget vs. actual reports and highlight variances for management review.
  • Assist in budget preparation for new projects or operational plans.
  • Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and financial efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and contracts.
  • Assist in generating internal management reports, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management or auditors.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain audit-ready financial records and reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to collect financial data and support budget tracking.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve financial queries.
  • Provide timely financial information to management for decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, workflows, and reporting efficiency.
  • Support implementation and optimization of financial systems, ERP, and accounting tools.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in accounting and reporting systems.
  • Participate in finance and accounting training programs to enhance knowledge of processes and tools.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge and assist team members in improving financial understanding and processes.
  • Monitor potential financial risks, discrepancies, or irregularities and report them promptly.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions and follow-up on unresolved financial issues.
  • Escalate critical financial challenges to the Finance Manager promptly.
  • Daily Financial Transaction Report: processed invoices, receipts, payments, and petty cash movements.
  • Weekly Expense & Budget Update: departmental/project expenses, variances, pending payments.
  • Monthly Financial Summary: income, expenses, reconciliations, budget vs. actual, receivables/payables status.
  • Compliance & Audit Preparation Report: supporting documents, policy adherence, and corrective actions.
  • Vendor or client payment status reports.
  • Project-specific financial summaries or expense analysis.
  • Reports requested by management for decision-making, planning, or audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with accounting software (ERP, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Arabic & English.
