Full Job Description

The Financial Administrative Assistant performs administrative and accounting tasks in support of the financial operations of MHTN under the direction of the Controller. The ideal candidate will have an interest in finance and accounting, experience in data entry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. We are seeking an individual with an associate degree in accounting or business with one year’s relevant experience or three years’ experience in a related field or customer service role. This is a full-time benefits eligible role working 30-40 hours a week on a hybrid scheduling, meaning this role will have the ability to work from home up to two days a week, if desired.

Responsibilities of the Financial Administrative Assistant include basic accounting tasks including processing invoices and payments, reconciling credit card statements, and maintaining financial records. Additionally, the position will assist the Controller to enter receipt and expenses into the accounting software, Deltek, for which training will be provided and aid in the depositing of checks both electronically and physically at the bank. Coordination with the Executive Committee to approve expense reports and prepare reimbursements for employees will be required. Other priorities include tracking travel expenses, including travel stipends and reimbursements. This position will provide back-up support for booking travel and training team members on the proper use and submission of expense reports.

This position is an hourly, overtime non-exempt position. This position starts at $21-$23 an hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications as outlined in this posting. Please do not apply if this is not the starting pay you are seeking.
