Benjamin Deaton Interiors is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Financial & Operations Manager. The Finance & Opps Manager will support the Principal and Senior Designer, among other key staff and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of BDD’s office by providing administrative and financial support across various departments.
** Please note, this position is administrative and is not a design role.**
Preparation of client contracts, statements, and management of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Understanding of Reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, expenses, etc. to confer with Accountants and provide detail Statements to Owner and Accountants
Liaison with clients, outside CPA & consultants
Bi-weekly payroll
Sales tax and payroll reporting
Coordination of daily operations to provide support to staff
Assist Owner with personal administrative, financial and bookkeeping needs
Resolve all product damages and claims
Daily tracking of purchased items within BDD pipeline, updating all project and Financial management software accordingly
Maintain office calendar, updating it with client meetings, vendor meetings, site visits, installs, etc.
Regularly communicate with clients as to the financial status of their account
Work with Principal to invoice clients in a time-sensitive manner
Assist with photoshoots, Installs, and office errands as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
3 to 5 years bookkeeping and basic accounting experience, degree in Accounting or Business preferred
Experienced in managing bookkeeping for small businesses
Quick Books Fluent
Interior Design industry knowledge is a plus
Detail-oriented and thorough with excellent follow-through
Excellent communications skills
Efficient, adept at time management and prioritization of tasks
Project Managementexperience a plus
Strong work ethic
Proficient in Google Workspace
Strong written and verbal skills; candidate must be comfortable being assertive when the situation requires it
Experience with client services and ability to maintain a proactive and friendly attitude with clients and trades
A firm understanding of purchasing protocol with specific experience creating, maintaining and coordinating systems that facilitate these processes
Troubleshooting skills
A flexible and can do attitude; we are a small firm and are all accustomed to having to “wear many hats”
