DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position performs advanced bookkeeping duties in recording, reviewing, processing, and controlling financial records and documents. The work also includes providing other fiscal, clerical, and administrative assistance to support office operation. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:
- Encode invoices for payment and batch processing, prepare internal control vouchers, check weekly paid invoices and file appropriately, and mail cost share invoices.
- Compile and reconcile expense spreadsheets; process cost sharing billings; prepare payment requests and vouchers; input customer, provider, service delivery, legal, and client information; and run reports as needed.
- Examine a variety of financial records and documents for propriety, quality, and conformance to established accounting procedures; establish and review internal processing procedures; and report fiscal and accounting issues and inconsistencies for further review.
- Prepare purchasing requests and maintain orderly supplies storage; prepare deposits; manage petty cash daily; and participate in other clerical and fiscal office functions as needed.
- Help monitor and review grant expenditures, develop budgets, prepare required state and federal reports, and participate in on-going analysis of all financial transactions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility QUALIFICATIONS
- One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
- Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
- One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
