Front Desk Administrative Assistant Jobs in Lowell, AR at Northwest Arkansas Food Bank

This position provides technical and administrative support for the Occupational Programs.

Hours: Up to 29 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist students who have questions about OE program areas.
Assist with planning and scheduling of classes.
Build classes in Colleague/Destiny One, from the course approval sheet submitted by the Director.
Keep instructor credentials up-to-date for certification program records.
Print part-time contracts for instructors
Make pay and attendance sheets for each class with registration forms and rosters for the students to sign in the instructors’ class packets.
Register, grade, and close out OE classes, and prepare paperwork for Payroll/Institutional Class Report.
ETrieve scanning
Ensure students connect with departments and services that will aid in their success.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of WTCE.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common correspondence and reports.
Ability to articulate professional responses to common inquiries and/or complaints from students, faculty, staff, or the public at-large.
Ability to write using proper grammar and punctuation.
Ability to effectively present information to management, students, faculty, staff, or the public at-large.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply and understand standard mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as budget preparation, frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Understanding of and commitment to the unique nature and role of the College and to the philosophy of the community college system.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Must have good customer service skills and ability to multi-task; must possess competent computing skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Individual should possess good written and oral communication skills, and have sufficient organizational ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously; ability to work and carry out assignments while under pressure with short deadlines; and to handle working with frequent interruptions or distractions
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree in Office Technology, Business, or a related field. Experience in an educational setting with knowledge of Colleague system in Datatel.
