Ashley Furniture Moncton has a current opening for a Full-Time Front-Desk Administrator to join our fun, team-oriented environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the day to day operations of administrative activity within the store as well as providing and maintaining superior customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership in all areas of front-desk operations/administration and promoting a culture of accuracy, timeliness and superior customer service;
  • Acting as a working member of the front-desk team (processing payments; processing financing applications; taking incoming/outgoing calls, answering customer inquiries, etc.);
  • Supporting sales staff as needed (e.g., financial and delivery arrangements; customer communication; identifying and correcting order errors; ensuring obstacles are removed, etc.)
  • Reviewing Dispatch Track for delivery/pick-up issues – proactively reaching out to customer and working on solutions to remedy the situation;
  • Reviewing the daily cash close and safe balances, ensuring all amounts balance;
  • Ensuring financial programs are sold accurately;
  • Running Flexiti and Fairstone reports, and closing out financing on a daily basis;
  • Implementing the Mattress Spiff program; ensuring report is accurate and sending to payroll in accordance with Company’s timelines
  • Training, mentoring, and evaluating front-desk team; working in collaboration with Store Manger and Human Resources on recruitment and staff progressive discipline-related issues;
  • De-escalating customer issues. Working with Store Manager to resolve complex service issues, and administrating decision based on Manager direction;
  • Offering financing to customers at time of sale; tracking any customer objectives;
  • Acting as keyholder and opening/closing the Store as needed;
  • Filling in for other front-desk staff as needed (e.g., vacation days, sick days, etc.)
  • Other duties as necessary to help achieve store success;

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of proven success in an administrative or customer service role (retail environment is preferred)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role a strong asset;
  • Post-secondary education in administration (or another relevant field) is a strong asset (but equivalent experience may be accepted.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize effectively;
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced problem-solving skills;
  • Passionate about customer service;
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and inventory control functions a strong asset
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented.
  • Strong computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
