Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

A high school diploma or GED
Experience
Five (5) years of experience in record keeping, clerical or administrative assistant work.

Preferred

An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration

In accordance with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) this job has been identified as critical to mission essential functions. Incumbents in this role may be required to report to or continue to work in the event of authorized office closings or service suspensions due to severe weather, natural disaster, fire, operational emergencies or related events.

SUMMARY

The Office of Professional Responsibility & Investigation (OPRI) Administrative Operations Support Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative, organizational, and analytical functions. These functions include but are not limited to providing analytical support for investigations, coordinating meetings, and special projects in OPRI. The incumbent assists the OPRI by maintaining standard operating procedures, and support processes. The Administrative Operations Support Assistant prepares reports, charts, and other presentation material, and coordinates calendars.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Collects and catalogs data from investigations and audits, organizes and analyzes information used to disposition cases to generate analytical reports for audits.

Utilizes Internal Affairs case management software to fulfill Giglio requests from courts in District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Corresponds with court liaisons to include attorneys in respective jurisdictions, to provide source materials from internal investigative files.

Analyze Internal Affairs software to generate quarterly reports requested for review by the MTPD Investigative Review Panel.

Manages central OPRI office files, maintains policy files, and office policy instructions. Assists in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.

Reviews correspondence and coordinates information to ensure that the documents are complete, accurate, properly edited, and consistent.

Ensures proper care of sensitive documents. Assists with coordination and monitoring of confidential and other sensitive departmental administrative actions.

Generates periodic and ad hoc reports, letters, and assorted documents.

Interacts with staff and visitors in a professional, courteous manner to provide optimum customer service.

OTHER FUNCTIONS
May coordinate OPRI calendars, provides phone coverage, opens, sorts, and distributes mail and e-mails.
Orders and maintains office supplies.
