Role Description The Front Desk Agent is a full-time, on-site role based at an Accor property in Batam. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring an efficient and friendly reception experience. Day-to-day tasks include handling reservations, responding to guest inquiries in person and over the phone, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions. The Front Desk Agent also manages guest requests, coordinates with other hotel departments, handles payments, and maintains accurate records in the hotel systems. A focus on attentive customer service, professional communication, and maintaining Accor’s brand standards is essential in this role.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer service orientation with experience in guest-facing roles and a commitment to creating positive guest experiences.
  • Proficiency in receptionist duties and reservations management, including check-in/check-out processes and booking systems.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to interact clearly and courteously with diverse guests.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and reliable time management.
  • Comfort with basic computer systems and property management software; prior hotel front office experience is an advantage.
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance and a courteous, calm manner when handling guest concerns or escalations.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a hotel environment.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial. Hospitality-related education or training is a plus.
