Looking for:
OTR Drivers – Home every weekend
JOB DESCRIPTION
Drive a tractor-trailer. May be required to unload/load truck. Requires class A commercial drivers’ license. Must have 2yrs verifiable experience. Hazmat certified a plus.
Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
Collecting delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
Maintaining logs of working hours
Paperwork that involves vehicle service or repair status
Maintaining paperwork from all customers
Following applicable state and federal regulations
Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
Skills and Requirements:
2 years’ experience operating a Class A (combination tractor/trailer) commercial motor vehicle
At least 25 years of age
Current, Valid Class A CDL driver’s license
Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical; and a controlled substance test in accordance with the FMCSR
Be physically able to assist with loading and/or unloading freight
