About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administration Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various payroll functions, ensuring accurate processing of employee transactions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Under general supervision, you will handle daily, monthly, and annual payroll activities, including processing employee action requests, benefits changes, and timekeeping records. Your role will also involve responding to employee inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with vendors and insurance personnel to facilitate administrative activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills, and a strong attention to detail to ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of relevant experience and skills, including:
- Previous processing experience within a human resource or payroll environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC operations, including basic spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high accuracy levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Educational requirements typically include a high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in human resources or payroll management are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process daily, monthly, and annual payroll transactions accurately and timely.
- Handle all employee action requests, including benefits changes and personal updates, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and personal information, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform ongoing quality assurance activities to verify the accuracy of input data and processing outcomes.
- Maintain both paper and electronic files, ensuring proper organization and security of sensitive information.
- Update procedures regularly to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and insurance providers to ensure administrative activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll and HR administration functions.
