We're hiring on behalf of one of our startup clients that is expanding its presence in the Philippines. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in building organizations from the ground up and enjoys creating HR and administrative processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience setting up a startup company or establishing HR operations in the Philippines, including developing policies, processes, compliance, and administrative functions from scratch.
What You'll Do
As the HR & Admin Manager, you will lead the development and execution of the company's people operations and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with Philippine labor regulations while supporting business growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build and establish HR and administrative processes, policies, and best practices.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation.
- Support recruitment efforts for local and regional hiring.
- Design and implement attendance, leave, and performance management processes.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Handle employee relations concerns and coordinate with regional headquarters on HR matters.
- Track and report key HR metrics such as attrition, absenteeism, and employee performance.
- Develop and manage travel approval and administrative workflows.
- Prepare regular HR reports and ensure accurate documentation.
- Oversee office administration, facilities, and vendor coordination to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support immigration requirements and ensure compliance for both expatriate and local employees.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and internal company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Around 10 years of HR and Administration experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- Proven experience helping establish or scale startup operations in the Philippines is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience creating HR policies, SOPs, and operational processes from the ground up.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with regional or global teams is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRMS platforms.
