Job Summary
This position performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources Department.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
Verifies I-9 data within Onboarding database.
Corrects/Enters E-verify data to ensure all is complete.
Contacts prospective employees about Onboarding paperwork.
Reviews all new hire paperwork within Onboarding database.
Completes employee changes within HR database.
Coordinates with Accounting to ensure all paperwork is complete and uploaded.
Performs changes within the HR database as requested.
Communicate with Restaurant/Hotel Managers about Onboarding employees.
Cross-trained to perform other HR duties within the department.
Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of operating office equipment such as computer, scanner, printer, etc.
Ability to read and write English sufficiently to communicate effectively
Ability to work effectively in a diverse community
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficient
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to focus, and strong attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work with a diverse workforce.
Work Environment
Works primarily inside with office equipment and restaurant supplies/materials.
Primarily in a controlled temperature environment; may be exposed to heat/cold based on season and tasks.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet.
Available to work 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday at the Midamerica Hotels Corporate building.
Physical Demands
Close vision and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to work in a sitting position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
