Human Resources Onboarding Specialist Jobs in Godfrey – Illinois – USA at Lewis and Clark Community College, IL

This position will assist the Manager of Talent & Team Relations and Director of Team & Government Relations in performing all aspects of the College’s Human Resources Office operations and functions with a focus on Team Member onboarding and related functions.

Key Measurable Expectations

* Engage the orientation process and create an official onboarding program for new team members.

* Serve as primary contact for pre-employment processing, new hire coordination, team member onboarding and position advertising.

* Maintain and organize practices and procedures to job postings, monitor details of existing searches, and complete hiring process of all finalists selected by the College.

* Perform prescreen application processes for Search Committees.

* Coordinate all pre-employment measures ensuring all hiring packets are completed.

* Process all new team members in Colleague, including but not limited to establishing new positions, status, and related setup screens.

* Administer and process benefit ted leave time balances and adjustments.

* Serve as resource to all team members to provide explanation and support on personnel policies.

* Perform periodic reviews and audits of HR files and personnel records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

* Maintain and be familiar with all HR databases, processes, and procedures.

* Act as liaison between the department and the Division Assistant/Deans/Coordinators for software training, as needed.

* Maintain employee files.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associates Degree

* One to three years of office experience

* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

* Ability to exerciseflexibility, prioritize and operate decisively in a fast paced environment.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact,professionalism, and diplomacy.

* Must be detail oriented, confident, self-motivated, energetic, and a demonstrated team player.

* Eagerness to learn a variety of complex functions, and work with all levels of personnel.

* Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

* Human Resources experience

* Experience with a Human Resources Information Systems, or other employee recruitment/applicant systems.
