Junior Marketing Consultant Jobs in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at Origami Management Consulting
Title: Junior Marketing Consultant
Company: Origami Management Consulting
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
ABOUT ORIGAMI CONSULTING
Origami Management Consulting is a premium advisory firm based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We operate as a full-spectrum business growth and transformation partner — combining strategic consulting with hands-on implementation oversight across Brand Strategy, Digital Marketing, Market Research, Capacity Building, and Organizational Development.
Our vision is to become the go-to outsourced marketing and consulting partner for ambitious companies across Ethiopia and East Africa. We do not just advise — we design, deploy, and deliver. Clients come to us because they want strategy that becomes reality.
We are a small, high-standards team at an early and exciting stage of growth. This role is one of the first consulting hires at Origami — which means the person who joins will have genuine influence over how the consulting practice is built, and real opportunity to grow as the firm grows.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a back-office role. The Junior Marketing Consultant is the person who takes Origami's projects from strategy to execution — building client relationships, implementing campaigns, running research, and ensuring every engagement delivers measurable results.
You will work directly with the Managing Partner on live client projects across multiple industries. You will be in client meetings, on project calls, in research sessions, and on the ground making things happen. If you are a fresh graduate who wants to learn by doing — not by watching — this is that role.
You will be client-facing from week one
Not a junior admin role — you meet clients, understand their needs, and represent Origami professionally
You will run real projects
Active social media management, market research, and capacity building engagements — with full implementation responsibility
You will grow fast
Direct mentorship from the Managing Partner on every project. You will see how strategy is built, priced, sold, and delivered
ROLE PURPOSE
The Junior Marketing Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of client projects, the identification of client needs during engagements, and the execution of marketing and research deliverables to the standard Origami's clients expect. This role exists to free the Managing Partner from implementation so he can focus on strategy, business development, and client leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Project Implementation
• Take full ownership of assigned client project deliverables — from briefing to final delivery
• Execute social media management projects: content calendars, post scheduling, community management, performance monitoring, and monthly reporting
• Support market research projects: questionnaire distribution, interview scheduling, data collection, data entry, and first-draft report writing
• Support capacity building projects: training material preparation, logistics coordination, participant communication, and session documentation
• Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, to the agreed scope, and at the quality standard Origami commits to clients
• Flag any scope changes, blockers, or quality concerns to the Managing Partner immediately
2. Client Engagement and Needs Identification
• Participate in client meetings and project kick-off sessions — take detailed notes and produce meeting summaries within 24 hours
• Build day-to-day working relationships with client contacts on active projects
• Listen actively during client interactions to identify unstated needs, emerging opportunities, or early signs of dissatisfaction
• Communicate client feedback, requests, and concerns to the Managing Partner clearly and promptly
• Represent Origami professionally in all client interactions — written, verbal, and in-person
• Support the Managing Partner in preparing for client meetings: research, talking points, and relevant data
3. Research and Analysis
• Conduct desk research on clients, industries, competitors, and markets as required by each engagement
• Collect, organise, and clean quantitative and qualitative research data
• Write first-draft sections of research reports, strategy documents, and client presentations
• Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and market trends relevant to active client engagements
• Support the development of client proposals with data, benchmarks, and market context
4. Content and Campaign Execution
• Develop social media schedules for client accounts
• Coordinate with external content creators, designers, and photographers to produce campaign assets
• Monitor content performance and compile weekly and monthly analytics reports for clients
• Support the implementation of promotional campaigns, product launches, and brand activations
• Ensure all content produced for clients is consistent with their brand guidelines and approved by the relevant authority before publishing
5. Internal Contribution
• Maintain up-to-date project status in Origami's project tracking system — updated every Monday
• Contribute to the development of Origami's own social media presence and thought leadership content
• Participate in weekly internal team meetings and contribute to project planning discussions
• Support proposal development with research and content inputs when requested
• Identify and suggest process improvements based on what you observe in project delivery
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREducation
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, or a related field
• Recent graduate (2023–2025) — we are building this role around developing the right person, not finding someone already fully formed
