Role Overview

The Key Account Manager will act as the primary interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring strong commercial relationships and smooth coordination across departments. You will manage customer accounts across quality, cost, delivery, and service while supporting new business acquisition and RFQ processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive components industry, ideally working with Tier-1 suppliers or OEM customers.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, RFQs, and commercial negotiations in automotive programs.
  • Solid understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) and price calculation processes.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and RFQ management tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating with product development or technical project teams.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key automotive customer accounts and ensure performance across quality, cost, delivery, logistics, and service.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, maintaining strong communication on commercial topics and project updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, project management, R&D, and supply chain teams.
  • Support RFQ processes, including reviewing customer requests, coordinating quotations, and managing internal approval processes.
  • Participate in customer meetings, conference calls, and presentations to discuss project progress and commercial matters.
  • Monitor and support resolution of commercial issues, contracts, and open invoices in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Contribute to business strategy, budget planning, and account growth initiatives.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers together with the business development team.
  • Support early-stage product development discussions and technical specification alignment with customers.
  • Manage CRM processes, RFQ workflows, and BOM/price calculations for new programs.

Salary Range: €90,000 -€110,000
