Office Manager

Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our professional services team in Bloomfield Hills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a public accounting or similar professional firm environment and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the office. This is an in-person role that requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a hands-on approach to supporting a busy and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily office operations and ensure a smooth, efficient work environment
Oversee office scheduling, supplies, and vendor relations
Support partners and staff with document preparation, file management, and client communications
Coordinate internal meetings, manage calendars, and assist with onboarding of new hires
Help maintain compliance with firm policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of client records
Liaise with IT, facilities, and other service providers to resolve office issues
Assist with light bookkeeping tasks, invoice tracking, and expense reporting
Maintain a professional and welcoming front office presence for clients and visitors

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in an administrative or office management role, ideally in a public accounting or financial services firm
Strong understanding of professional office workflows, client service, and administrative processes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, dependable, and proactive with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality

Preferred Attributes:

Experience supporting executives and managing sensitive or time-critical communications
Familiarity with accounting software or document management systems is a plus
Previous experience in a small-to-mid-sized professional services firm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
