The Position
Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.

The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 1 in the Winnemucca office. The Administrative Assistant 1 will support the social workers in the office with proofing and the filing of court documents, transporting children to visitation, responsible for car seat installation; setting up filing systems and creating travel documents for staff as well as general office duties. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records, answering telephones, and reviewing forms, documents and other written materials; OR six months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.

This position requires a valid driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
