Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness.

Duties:

– Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
– Manage and organize legal files (electronic only)
– Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and court personnel
– Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
– Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and communicate with clients
– Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role
– Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures (CA workers comp)
– Familiarity with document management systems and legal case management software (MERUS and EAMS)
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Proficiency in phone etiquette for client interactions

Preferred Skills:
– Experience in CA workes comp
– Ability to assist in litigating cases under attorney supervision
– Proficiency in MERUS

Must be able to work from home with little supervision – self starter personality is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,602.00 – $56,361.00 per year
