Job Description / Responsibility
- Manage cold storage operations by ensuring proper temperature, humidity, and storage conditions for imported and local fruits, flowers, spices, agricultural products, medicinal raw materials, and forest products.
- Implement inventory management systems, including stock in/out procedures, FIFO/LIFO methods, and record maintenance.
- Schedule and supervise routine inspections and maintenance of compressors, condensers, humidifiers, generators, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and other refrigeration equipment.
- Optimize energy consumption and minimize cold chain losses.
- Supervise workers, technicians, and security personnel.
- Ensure compliance with BSTI, BADC, and relevant government regulations regarding food safety and storage.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Communicate regularly with customers, importers, and wholesalers both within and outside Dhaka according to seasonal business requirements.
- Conduct market visits and assist in the collection of outstanding payments.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Master of Arts (MA)
- Skills Required: cold storage refrigeration
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 7 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (FMCG)
Additional Requirements
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond effectively during emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with importers, wholesalers, and customers.
- Practical knowledge of Ammonia, Freon, and Glycol refrigeration plant operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
