1 year of related work experience in a medical office
1 year of medical assistant work experience required
Education:Completion of a medical assistant program or additional clinical training preferred
Type: Full-time;
Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Review patient charts before appointments to ensure lab work, diagnostic procedures, and reports are complete and accessible.
Record vital signs and reasons for visits.
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during examinations and procedures.
Operate equipment, pass instruments, and provide patient comfort during procedures.
Respond to emergencies appropriately and monitor patients for reactions or complications.
Administer injections and collect urine specimens as directed.
Participate in quality assurance and competency training.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with healthcare professionals.
Basic typing and computer proficiency.
Ability to maintain high customer service standards, even in challenging situations.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
