Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Freight Forwarding Admin role at International Freight Solutions in Bradford.
A Freight Forwarding Admin plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain industry, ensuring the smooth coordination of shipments, documentation, and customer communication. Here’s a breakdown of key responsibilities and required skills for this role:
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination:
Assist in booking shipments with carriers (air, sea, courier and land).
Track and monitor cargo movement.
Communicate with clients regarding shipment status.
Customer & Supplier Communication:
Liaise with customers, agents, suppliers, and freight companies via email and telephone
Provide updates on shipments and resolve issues.
Handle all aspect of customer enquiries and professionally.
Billing & Invoicing:
Generate invoices and pass purchase invoices.
Verify freight charges and coordinate with accounting teams.
Data Entry & System Management:
Input shipment details into freight management software (Realm etc.).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records.
Required Skills:
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments.
Attention to detail for accurate documentation.
Knowledge of freight terms, incoterms, and shipping regulations – training will be given
Communication skills to interact with clients and suppliers.
Problem-solving abilities to handle delays or shipping issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) & logistics software.
Full training will be provided – experience not essential, we can provide an 18 month apprenticeship course for the right candidate.
