About The RoleThis permanent role will be 30-35 hours weekly, based on-site in the DBI’s Ōtepoti Dunedin head office. This is a customer-facing role, so excellent customer service, team collaboration and communication skills are required.

Key Skills And Responsibilities

Supporting the work of the DBI Director.

Proficient in payroll and accounts management, with extensive experience in Xero.

Experienced in research administration, including managing research project budgets.

Skilled in coordinating and interacting with a Board of Trustees, preparing Board packs, organising and attending four annual Board meetings, minute-taking, and post-meeting administration.

Organising travel for staff and collaborators.

Assisting with Health and Safety and Human Resources

Comfortable working remotely and in-person with disabled staff and people, including people with learning disabilities.

Commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi, Kā Matapono (DBI’s core values), and reo Māori. Strong engagement skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
