This position may be eligible for telework up to two (2) days a week, in accordance with DGS’s Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. Initially, this position will be required to report to the office five (5) days a week during the training period. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the guidance and general direction of the Legal Support Supervisor I, the Office Technician (Typing) in the OAH General Jurisdiction (GJ) Division is responsible for a wide spectrum of clerical and administrative duties in order to support the Supervising Administrative Law Judges (Sup ALJs) and Administrative Law Judges (ALJs). The work requires knowledge of the administrative adjudicatory process, applicable state statutes and regulations, and legal procedures and practices related to case management of administrative hearings.

This position may be downgraded to Senior Legal Typist for recruitment purposes. If downgraded, duties will be adjusted accordingly.
