The Office Support II position is an in-office role based in Stillwater within the Human Resources Department. Key responsibilities include providing customer service at the front desk, handling phone inquiries, document processing and storage, detailed data entry across multiple platforms, and compiling and maintaining data for reports. This role also supports Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs by managing Outlook mailboxes and calendars, scheduling training and events, and record keeping.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma and two years of office experience, or an equivalent combination. Completion of a related business or office certificate program may substitute for one year of experience. The finalist must pass a criminal history investigation at the County’s expense prior to employment.

Anticipated Hiring Rate: $20.85 – $24.60 per hour

This position involves somewhat complex work under general supervision, applying knowledge of departmental procedures, records, and regulations. It serves as the primary contact in its area and may vary slightly across departments.

Core competencies include promoting diversity and respect, accurate record keeping, proficiency in keyboarding and office equipment, following instructions, and performing administrative and research tasks effectively.

Specific duties include processing mail, customer service, maintaining office equipment, drafting documents, managing payments and reports, scheduling, mentoring staff, and communicating technical issues.

Work environment is sedentary, primarily within government offices, with occasional lifting and frequent computer use. Work interruptions are common, and dealing with emotionally charged individuals or deadlines may occur. Travel may be required for meetings or training.
