Position Summary

The qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support the area to which they are assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be organized, thorough, industrious. Must be able to take initiative in order to problem solve.
Must have advanced computer office software experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite programs. Knowledge of PowerSchool, Skyward, and other district software a plus.
Must have the ability to operate office equipment, perform data entry, maintain records and scheduling.
Must demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills.
Must have the ability to work independently and with others.
Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
Model civil demeanor when working with staff, students, families,and community members.
Must be detail oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive)

Must be organized, thorough, and take initiative in order to problem solve.
Must have experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), and knowledge of PowerSchool, Skyward, and other district software.
Must have the ability to perform data entry, maintain records, and coordinate schedules.
Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
Must demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills.
Model professional demeanor when working with staff, students, families, and community members.
Able to compose routine business correspondence and emails without direction.
Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time efficiently so that projects are completed within deadlines with little or no oversight.
Ability to generate data and assemble reports.
Manage transportation.
Assist in preparing the budget.
Arrange for substitute teachers.
May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge and Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
Ability to write professional communications.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to respond to questions from individuals and groups.
Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities.
Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT) is required.
The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast.
Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
