Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a senior Operations Support Specialist who will evaluate and provide advice and technical support to resolve conditions adverse to facility operations. This position will conduct investigations, facilitate evaluations, write cause analysis and corrective action plans for the SST Retrieval & Closure, Tank Farm Projects, Production Operations and Maintenance departments. The Operations Support Specialist will be a self-directed individual capable of interpreting standards and specifications, policies and procedures and interfacing with multiple Tank Operations Contract (TOC) organizations to resolve issues.

The Operations Support Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform, participate or facilitate event investigation activities, action request/condition report resolution, cause analysis teams (Root & Apparent), assessments, special initiatives, continuous improvement opportunities, LEAN process improvement events, and complete statistical and qualitative data analysis for trending purposes.

This position provides support to operations management by providing advice and technical support on the following:

Technical writing/editing of documents and reports (Assessments, Apparent Cause Analysis, Root Cause Analysis);

Document Reviews;

Administrative Procedure Controls;

Technical Procedure Compliance;

Conduct of Operations;

Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) / OSHA Hazardous Energy Control;

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Grade 18:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field and 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 19:

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in related field and 9 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

– Experience conducting investigations on a wide range of issues. Ability to interpret and understand information from multiple sources, evaluate the credibility of multiple concepts and ability to analyze data and issues. Ability to write investigation reports and create appropriate corrective actions.

Proven ability to communicate with subject matter experts, peers, management, support organizations and stakeholders.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Visio.
