JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative support and project coordination to various Central
Office departments efficiently and effectively with a high degree of confidentiality and
professionalism.

High school diploma along with additional administrative training (preferred)
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the
requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job
Ability to function in a variety of word processing, database and spreadsheet programs
Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication
Must possess excellent organization and interpersonal skills, and have a high attention to
detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once and a desire to complete tasks
accurately, timely and with emphasis placed on customer service and collaboration
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Schools may find
appropriate and acceptable

FLSA STATUS: NONEXEMPT
1. Exempt: Employees primarily performing work that is not subject to overtime
provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Overtime pay is not required by FLSA
for exempt employees; however, the University chooses to pay overtime to exempt
Non-V Class employees.
Or
2. Nonexempt: Employees primarily performing work that is subject to the
overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Overtime pay is required.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are
normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other
duties may be required and assigned as needed.
Provide assistance and support to students, staff, parents, and visitors entering office
data.
Provide administrative support to Central Office departments as needed.
Assist with communication to parents/guardians/community members with miscellaneous
information (zoning, registration, transportation, school information, etc.)
Assist parents with student registration and job applicants.
Create district employee badges and records.
Update master district employee roster.
Coordinates assigned projects and/or program components (conference room schedules,
interdepartmental meetings, central office calendars)
Serve as point of contact for all shipments from outside carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to
include verification of receipt, proper storage, and notification to appropriate personnel of
receipt of goods
Assist in the creation of materials for Pre-K, Federal Programs, Transportation, etc. as
directed
Project a positive image of the Cannon County School District at all times
Keep information confidential concerning school business
Act in a professional manner at all times
Must be knowledgeable of day-to-day activities and upcoming events in Cannon County
School District
Collaborates effectively with other team members to coordinate the timely completion of
all tasks
Receive telephone calls; screen, handle, or refer routine calls as necessary; determine and
collect information necessary to process calls (primary receptionist for Central Office)
Maintain security of main lobby area
Perform duties such as filing, typing, faxing, copying, etc., as necessary and requested
Prepare correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other written correspondence as
requested
Scan various Central Office documents as requested and needed
Successful completion of Criminal Justice fingerprint/background process and drug
screen
Create district employee badges
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent
lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical
demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling, stooping and/or kneeling,
reaching and/or handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing.
WORK CONDITIONS: Normal working environment.
