Patient Engagement Counselor
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Patient Engagement Counselor for our healthcare client in San Diego, CA. This role will be a long-term contract and will be working a full-time, but varying work schedule. The role will be focused on assisting patients with their insurance coverage, understanding their eligibility, and helping to create payment plans as needed.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years experience within revenue cycle/medical billing/patient financial counseling required
Understanding of insurance eligibility with commercial, Medi Cal and Medicare insurance plans
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Skills
Ability to give a great customer service experience and havecompassionfor others
Able to read and interpret an Explanation of Benefits and explain it fully to others
Knowledge of health insurances required
Able to thrive in afast-pacedenviornment and be able to adapt when needed
Excellent prioritization and organization skills
Strong written and verbalcommunication skills
Pay Details:
$23.00 to $26.00 per hour
