This is a combined posting for an Associate Patient Services Specialist, Patient Services Specialist and Senior Patient Services Specialist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Associate Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration.

In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Associate Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, andrespectfulmanner to promote positive encounters.

Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service.

This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, andrespectfulmanner to promote positive encounters.

Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Senior Patient Access Representative has a clear understanding and knowledge of all functions performed by Patient Access. They are responsible for but not limited to assisting patients during the registration process for scheduled and unscheduled visits. This individual has the knowledge to complete the registration process by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, obtain prior authorizations as needed, insurance notifications, complete the financial clearance and collect patient liability (if known) before or at the time of service.

In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Senior Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, andrespectfulmanner to promote positive encounters. The Senior Patient Access Representative should serve as a functional expert for department peers.
