Saint Jean Industries is a French family-owned group producing mainly Aluminum automotive parts such as knuckles, control arms, suspension parts, as well as wheels and powertrain components.

Chassis & suspension Parts are mainly manufactured with the patented process "Cobapress" which is a combination of casting and forging processes.

The group has a footprint in Europe and in US; and it’s composed of a 1500 employee’s workforce.

Main customers are: Stellantis (Chrysler), Audi-VW, Fiat, Renault, Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot-Citroën, Volvo, GM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche, Lamborghini etc…

We are looking for a Plant Manager to lead our growth in North America for our Heber Springs, Arkansas-based manufacturing plant ($160m turnover – Workforce 470 FTE), specialized in Aluminum chassis components (Casting or CobapressTM).

 

Job Title: Plant Manager – Aluminum Casting (Automotive Industry)

Location: Heber Springs, Arkansas

Reports to: Operations Director

Position Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the aluminum casting and machining facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting customer expectations for quality, delivery, and innovation. The Plant Manager leads the site’s leadership team to achieve excellence in operations, develop talent, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives. The plant manager is accountable to the P&L of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all plant operations (production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, HR, and HSE) to achieve revenue, cost, and productivity targets.
  • Manage the Capex investment in line with the corporate guidelines and the financing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards; foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate production planning and resource allocation to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
  • Delivers Sales, On-Time delivery, quality and EBIT target.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and capital investment planning.
  • Driver costs reduction pr optimization activities within Suppliers, Manufacturing and Logistics
  • Implement long-term strategies to improve process capability, equipment reliability, and automation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and corporate leadership, representing the plant in audits and business reviews.
  • Develop and coach a multidisciplinary management team, ensuring succession readiness and engagement across the workforce.
  • Promote innovation, collaboration, and cross-functional alignment among operations, engineering, and commercial departments.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role in metal casting, foundry, or automotive manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in aluminum die-casting, machining, and finishing processes preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, and quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Strong financial acumen and competency in P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a unionized or complex environment.
