Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description:

The Business Unit Administrator I will manage business operations for the Division of Infectious Diseases (ID). The Business Unit Administrator I will support the human resources and general administration activities of the Division of Infectious Diseases, including the hiring, onboarding, personnel management, training, and off boarding processes for the ID Division’s 120+ personnel. The Business Unit Administrator I will also manage inventory control, purchasing protocols, and relationships with supply vendors for all units in the division. As part of the ID administration team, the Business Unit Administrator I will represent the division in communication with internal and external partners related to recruitment and personnel actions, including responsibility for special projects assigned by the Department of Medicine or the university. The Business Unit Administrator I will also collaborate with division staff to maintain accurate and current personnel records. Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Manage general business operations for Division of Infectious Diseases including human resources functions and assisting the Director of Finance with financial activities such as procurement, budget tracking, and other financial activities.
Manage hiring activities for Division of Infectious Diseases including creating and submitting hiring paperwork, collaborating with relevant university offices, communicating with potential new hires throughout the application process, and onboarding/offboarding procedures.
Maintain inventory records, process purchasing requests, and communicate with supply vendors regularly.
Coordinate with university partners to process personnel actions using Workday and other appropriate systems.
Coordinate major university HR or administrative projects on behalf of the division such as the implementation of the Workday system and the university compensation study.
Support accurate tracking of division personnel database, including data quality checks.
Contribute to the overall administrative efforts related to policy development and implementation, including reviewing current and creating new training materials.
Collaborate with program directors, division faculty, and unit leaders to execute strategy for succession planning and staff development.
Other duties as assigned.
Target Compensation Maximum:

$35.33

Target Compensation Minimum:

$23.54

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
