Overview of Responsibilities
Production Scheduling is a vital function in Aerospace manufacturing, as it focuses on communication throughout our shop and with our customer base. This job is largely administrative, focusing on working with our MRP software, our customer portals to update promise dates, interacting with manufacturing staff to double-check database information, and data entry. This position reports directly to the Director of Data Management, and you will work with him to accomplish a variety of scheduling and schedule-communication-related goals.
Job Requirements
Proactive Problem Solving. Aerospace manufacturing is complex, so the scheduling in our shop has a lot more moving parts than in a less high-precision manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who will run into problems and look for solutions, and while you will have managerial support, we always appreciate when team members come up with their own ideas to solve a problem.
Positive attitude and good communication skills. Being able to interact well with the rest of the team and enjoying what you do are two of the most critical components of what we are looking for.
Fine attention to detail. Making sure that the numbers you are communicating to our customers and the shop internally are accurate is one of the central needs of this position.
Computer literate. Must be able to navigate the various programs that we use, and our customers’ supplier portals. Experience with manufacturing MRP software, Excel, and any other scheduling tools is a plus, but being a quick learner to adapt to our system will be something we are looking for.
Good work ethic. There is always something to do here, so we are looking for applicants who enjoy this type of work and proactively seek out the next task after completing the last item on their list.
Experience with JobBOSS preferred, but not required.
Working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 company preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour
