Job Overview
The
Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD)is dedicated to fostering a stronger society by promoting the wellbeing of ALL children, adults and families and creating moreinclusivecommunities. We execute this mission through research, training and technical assistance, scholarship and thoughtleadership.
Through our National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC), the GUCCHD was awarded a contract with the NY Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). The project is designed to advance policies and practices ofdiversity, equity, andinclusion(DEI), and cultural and linguistic competence (CLC) in all components of the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) system of supports and services of New York State.
The project supports four components of the IDD system in New York: (1) Persons who Experience IDD and Families, (2) OPWDD, (3) Provider Network, and (4) an OPWDD-administered grant program focused on CLC and DEI.
ThePersons with Lived Experience of IDD & Family
Program Component Associateprovides administrative support and coordinates a variety of project tasks and activities in the areas of technical assistance and deliverables tracking for the Persons who Experience IDD & Families Component under the OPWDD project.
Dutiesinclude but are not limited to:
Supports the management of component activities and deliverables under this project.
Assists the success of program team workflow, management and tracking of program activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables
Supports production of products
Assists with technical support during virtual meetings, training activities, and group/town hall forums; and with the coordination and management of meetings
Serves as an important member of the team in the development, coordination and planning of component activities
Supports further crossteam collaborationandcommunicationefforts as needed
As assigned, engages in routinecommunicationwith persons who experience IDD and families
Work Interactions
Reporting programmatically to the Program Component Manager, the
Persons with Lived Experience of IDD & Family
Program Component Associate
works collaboratively with other members of the team and – based on assignment – may report to another team lead. They also interact with the Program Director, PI, the Project Administrator, other project team members, and GUCCHD administration; and represent the project and Center with internal and external partners on a regular basis.

Bachelor’s degree
At least 4 years of progressive administrative experience
