Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides administrative support for law enforcement operations, including filing case documents, managing digital imaging, processing mail, and scanning booking cards. Duties also involve public interaction, data entry of warrants and court orders, and other court paperwork.
Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs clerical duties, by filing case reports and other attachments.
Performs line-ups on Digital Imaging machine, and prints mug shots.
Assist the public by answering questions either by telephone or in person.
Works up mail daily by checking data entry and filing.
Scan booking cards into the Archive system
Makes regular runs to pick up paperwork from other county offices
Validates bonds set from jail arraignments and enters court papers
Entering Warrants, Protection Orders and Conditions of Bond
TLETS validations
Placing TDCJ Detainers and Out of County Holds
Builds Incidents and Cases
Approves Officer Submitted Reports
Registers Sex Offenders
Creates Extradition Paperwork
Regular attendance and timeliness are required

Acceptable personnel background
Applicant must have a general knowledge of computer technology, and sufficient computer skills to adapt to a variety of computer programs
Current and valid TX driver’s license and a safe driving record
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Work requires excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal with the public on the telephone, and in person in a pleasant manner
Preferred:
Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and policies

Supplemental Information
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Individual works indoors in a well-lighted, air-conditioned environment. Frequent tedious or exacting work.
PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS: Some sitting, and working at computer terminals. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting of light materials. Continuous use of vision, hearing, and speech.
HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm or Tuesday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, rotating every 6 months
